This will be short and brief but I did finish my small orange roses. I think the green background suits the orange and blue colors well, instead of leaving it plain white. The majority is different watercolor pencils in actual pigment form i.e., you cannot leave it sitting in water or else it will dissolve but you can continue to draw with it wet.
"Avacado", "parrot green" and "forest green" Prismacolor markers filled in some of the gaps. This might make it to my Society6 as a potential print available for anyone to purchase but we'll see.
Soon, I'll be posting more of my work, some ideas on what I want to do and like I mentioned on Facebook (which I will not link here), I want to create illustrations based around nature, underwater scenes, for children, in a book. It's a great goal to see achieved but first things first is actually organizing myself in order to even begin the process of it.
This is beautiful, I love the colors. What brand of watercolor pencil did you use? I have aquatone ones and I love them, they last so long, I love that there is no wood in them. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThe watercolor pencils are Prismacolor and also a handful are Aquamonolith, which I got from a paper design/art store. Those are the ones that are pure pigment and you cannot leave them in water. The other color pencils are just Prismacolor Premier (48) and Crayola. I'm so glad you love the colors!
DeleteI just ordered a pack of prismacolor colored pencil, which are amazing and rich, but I have never used the watercolor pencils before. I love how long the pure pigment pencils last, they are amazing. I like the circles on your painting the best, the bright blue of the stems is great too.
